Kelleys Island Landowners
Association
|
The
objectives of the Kelleys Island Landowners Association are to preserve
the tranquility and beauty of this island by remaining constantly alert
and vigilant to any situations that could adversely affect the needs of
our members and the island itself. We provide a forum where members can
have the opportunity to present ideas, problems, and information; and we
bring all available information regarding Kelleys Island to Village
Council and our members.
KILA brings together over 500 households to form a single voice. We
have members on Council, Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning
Appeals, Chamber of Commerce, Historical Association as well as members
in many other official capacities. The year 2008 marked our 33rd
anniversary.

Membership in
KILA is a simple one-time fee of $25.00. We have 7
meetings and
sponsor many social events like the annual potluck in June. KILA also brings together all
the candidates for an election year Candidates' Forum in October giving
you the opportunity to hear candidate's platforms and get your questions
answered. Our most important event each year is the annual Homecoming
celebration held in August. Our Board publishes a quarterly newsletter
and we are proud to provide a welcome gift package to our new
members.
As you can see, the one-time membership fee of $25.00 gives you a voice
in island government and is an excellent way for you to be aware of
issues that affect one of the largest investments in your life, your
home.
Please take a minute to contact us for a membership application. We
hope you will join our members and if we can answer any questions
regarding KILA, please contact us by mail at KILA, P O Box 22, Kelleys
Island, OH 43438 or by email at
